BET Founder Robert Johnson On President Donald Trump’s Economy (Video)

He is the co-founder of BET, which was acquired by Viacom in 2001. He also founded RLJ Companies, a holding company that invests in various business sectors.  Robert Johnson is the former majority owner of the Charlotte Bobcats. He is the first Black American billionaire.

Known by many people as Bob Johnson, was recently interviewed on CNBC, about how President Trump’s policies have affected the business economy. Among many things, Bob mentioned the record low unemployment rate for African Americans. Bob stated that ” There’s a lot of jobs out there for the people who were traditionally unemployed.”

The host asked Mr. Johnson why is there such a disconnect with the current greatness of the economy and African Americans. The host explained that he looks on twitter and social media an see many people speaking as though the sky is falling and as if we as a nation will not make it through the year. However the numbers say unemployment is the lowest it’s ever been, housing market is doing well, GDP growth is up, where is the disconnect. Robert answered by saying “The opposition party will stop at nothing to make even a good thing look bad.”

Agreeing with that notion, I am constantly trying to explain to my Black friends and family, that they live in a bubble, in their bubble the sky is falling, just because Trump is President. However if they stepped right outside of their Facebook friends fake news posts, their small nit community of folks who all hate the other side just to hate the other side. They would notice wait the sky isn’t falling, and America is truly currently doing better than it has ever done.

Watch the full video below. Bob Johnson an the host talk about a whole range of topics including policies that President Trump and Robert are currently working on together to put more money in the pockets of African Americans.
