In this video, I share my belief that we, the modern-day Israelites, are descendants of the ancient Israelites. I emphasize that God is with us today in the same way He was with our ancestors. It’s important for us to recognize that His blessings were not just for the past; they are available to us right now.
I reflect on how, as mentioned in Deuteronomy 7:6, “For thou art a holy people unto the Lord thy God: the Lord thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth.” This scripture reassures me that I am part of God’s chosen people, and I know that the same way God blessed our ancestors, He continues to bless us today.
As we consider the challenges we face, I invite you to remember the faith of our ancestors who truly sought God. Ecclesiasticus 2:10 asks, “Look at the generations of old and see; did ever any trust in the Lord and was confounded?” This inspires me to reflect on my own life and faith. Have I ever truly followed after God and seen His blessings? I can think of many instances where His hand has been evident, and I know I am not alone in this experience.
I recognize that many of us often ridicule our ancestors who may have followed after Christ, mistakenly thinking they believed in a false image of Him. Yet, despite their lack of knowledge about Christ’s true identity, they pursued Him wholeheartedly within their understanding. They were blessed in ways that perhaps we struggle to see today.
I firmly believe that we, too, are the modern-day Israelites. As God’s children, when we strive to obey Him to the best of our abilities, He is pleased with us. Just as He was present with our ancestors in the wilderness, guiding them through trials, He is present with us today.
In Exodus 6:6, God promised, “I am the Lord, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians.” I interpret this as a message for us now—the burdens we face in our modern Egypt will be lifted, just as they were for our ancestors.
We are living in a time when the curses mentioned in the scriptures are evident in our lives, but just as we acknowledge those, I urge us to also believe that the blessings are available to us now. Romans 8:19 tells us, “For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed.”
Let us step into our identity as the children of God and claim the blessings that await us right here, right now, as we continue to follow the Most High. I call upon each of us to embrace this truth and live in the fullness of God’s promises today.
