‘Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. ‘ 1 John 3:4
the Bible clearly and plainly states that “Sin” is the breaking of Gods Laws. Nonetheless, throughout the history of faith and believers the definition of “Sin” remains a topic of controversy and confusion.
““If anyone sins and does what is forbidden in any of the Lord’s commands, ” Leviticus 5:17
Again, the Bible stating that sin is doing anything forbidden of the lords commands. Not to mention all of the verses in the Bible which coincide sinning directly with breaking Gods Laws and I didn’t even go over that subject at all in the message in order to save time, but look at some of these scriptures which directly link sin to Gods laws:
“we have sinned, committed iniquity, acted wickedly and rebelled, even turning aside from Your commandments and ordinances.” Daniel 9:5
“Indeed all Israel has transgressed Your law and turned aside, not obeying Your voice; so the curse has been poured out on us, along with the oath which is written in the law of Moses the servant of God, for we have sinned against Him.” Daniel 9:11
“Let us lie down in our shame, and let our humiliation cover us; for we have sinned against the Lord our God, we and our fathers, from our youth even to this day. And we have not obeyed the voice of the Lord our God.” Jeremiah 3:25
“So the people came to Moses and said, “We have sinned, because we have spoken against the Lord and you; intercede with the Lord, that He may remove the serpents from us.” And Moses interceded for the people.” Numbers 21:7
Those are literally just a handful, we could go on and on proving that “Sin” is the breaking of Gods laws. Nonetheless, we live in a time in our society where people literally make up what a sin is or isn’t. In the coming months, I am going to tackle this subject many more times, because I believe it is important for the believers mind and soul to understand what God considers as “Bad” as “Evil” as “Sin” verses what the world says is “Sin.” P.S DO NOT think that only Christians do this, I literally see Israelite camps also not following the plain written text of Gods Laws, and creating their own “Sins” and attempting to condemn:
“Also Judah kept not the commandments of the LORD their God, but walked in the statutes of Israel which they made.” 2 Kings 17:19
